Story

The water came first. Then the hunger. Storm Eaters' solo mode is a story-driven survival game about finding out what started it.

The drowned scrapyard

Storm Eaters opens in a flooded industrial salvage zone: wrecked cars, twisted metal, shipping containers, floodwater and a crane the size of a cathedral. Nobody is coming. What is left of the world is what you can reach on foot between storms.

The Cavallo signal

Monochrome portrait of Juan Cavallo, the weathered figure whose fragmented signal guides players through the Storm Eaters story

Harvesting the salvage banks turns up fragments of an old broadcast: coordinates, warnings, riddles, partial maps. The voice calls itself Cavallo. Whether that is one person, a machine reconstructing one, or a name handed down through generations is left for you to work out.

The cause of the epidemic

The hordes that hit your walls every storm were people. The campaign traces the epidemic back to its source while you rebuild a settlement strong enough to survive the search, then reach four allied settlements to finish a shared cure.
